LYON, France, September 28th, 2015 | Bigpoint, a leading publisher and developer of online games, today announced the appointments of Ryan McDonald as Senior Producer and Christophe Garnier as Lead Game Designer for the company’s Lyon studio. This comes as part of an overarching initiative to build a world class mobile games development studio in Lyon; previous hires include François Coulon, who worked for Ubisoft on the Splinter Cell franchise and now holds the crucial role of Head of Production of the studio. At the Lyon studio, the core of which was formed by the 2014 acquisition of Little Worlds, an experienced team works on half a dozen games for Android and iOS.

Ryan McDonald will work as Senior Producer and vision keeper on an unannounced mobile game. He has a strong background in end-to-end production, creative management, and project management with such companies as DreamWorks and Disney. While at Disney, he was the producer of the No 1 mobile hit game Where’s my Mickey?. Christophe Garnier will join him as Lead Game Designer on the same project. Garnier has held Lead and Director level positions in game design, most recently at Gameloft Valencia, taught game design at Gamagora and worked on multi-million dollar games projects in both the mobile and the console space.

“We are delighted to welcome amazing international talents such as Ryan and Christophe to further grow our Lyon team,” said Khaled Helioui, CEO of Bigpoint. “Ryan brings a unique creative perspective to production, built over his years at Dreamworks and Disney, which with the addition of Christophe will allow us to push the creative boundaries of what has been done on mobile so far and provide fresh and vibrant universes to our players.”
