Farmerama helps raise money for Nepal

Hamburg, May 13, 2015 – In the aftermath of the deadly and devastating earthquake in Nepal, Farmerama is teaming up with charity: water to support the country’s rebuilding efforts. Starting today, players can contribute to long-term, sustainable clean water projects that will provide the most precious of resources to the people of the area.

Until Tuesday, the 26th (11am CEST), all revenue stemming from purchases of a Nepal-themed item package in Farmerama will directly support clean water programs to help rebuild Nepal.

charity: water has already brought clean water to over 5.2 million people around the world. Working directly with local partners in Nepal, the organization ensures that 100 percent of all donations fund lasting water projects to help the country during this time of recovery. Bigpoint will cover all transaction fees for the item purchases to ensure that 100 percent of all the revenue will reach charity: water.

Farmerama’s community has a track record of engaging in charitable projects, including: a previous campaign with charity: water that raised over $20,000 to build clean water wells in Kenya and Ethiopia; a viral campaign and cooperation with UN Water (a UN body responsible for World Water Day); and events with Oxfam, Plant for the Planet, and many more.
